As the sun continues to turn all things golden, we've curated a nifty round up of everything we are loving in August. This is a super exciting month for #TeamKITRI, so here's what we'll be up to in between our office move!
Bloom & Wild
As the inspiration behind so many of our prints, we love it when British flowers come in season. And so do the flower delivery experts, Bloom & Wild. Their clever letterbox flowers mean you can send seasonal blooms to your favourite people, even if they’re not in when the postie knocks. It’s a real life-saver. Trust us.
We love how their bouquets change with the season. That’s why we chatted to Rowan Blossom, their Floral Stylist (and author of bestselling book Living With Flowers), to find out exactly what’s in season for August. And great news, there are some real goodies in the list!
“Sunflowers, sweet william and gladioli are some of my favourites. And they really are at their best in August. This summer, we’re picking ours from local family run farms in Norfolk and Lincolnshire to help support small British businesses!"
1. Cut your stems into tiers
“For a professional look, divide a mixture of your stems into four groups and cut them into four different heights, like stadium tiers! Cut at least 3-5cm off for the tallest group, then use your vase’s height to guide the smallest; your flower heads should sit just above the rim.”
2. Don’t move your vase
“To make your bouquet look really full, pick a vase with a wide base but narrow neck and style from one side only. This will make what we call a front-facing bouquet. In other words, don’t spin your vase as you add your flowers!”
3. Start with your tallest stems
“Criss-cross your tallest stems into the back of your vase, creating a tipi-like structure."
4. Add your shorter stems
“Fill the middle of your vase with your medium-length stems and then pop the shortest at the front so they float just above the rim.”
5. Spread things out a little
“If at the end, it doesn’t look quite right and you’re not sure why, it might be because you have too many of the same stems next to each other. Imagine triangles joining each flower type together. If you can’t make a triangle, trim and move a stem or two until you can.”
To celebrate International Friendship Day, we’ve teamed up with the lovely Bloom & Wild to offer you the chance to win a year of flowers and a £250 KITRI shopping spree for your pal. Want to be friend of the year? Click the link below to enter!
The Berkeley Bar & Terrace
We love taking inspiration from interiors, and the latest addition to the Berkeley Hotel felt like the perfect fit for our August Collection. Featuring deep, wooden accents throughout (sourced from a 300-year-old walnut tree that fell in a storm in 2007) and peony pink seating, we fell in love with the '70s inspired decor as well as the perfectly curated menu.

Podcast: Wardrobe Crisis by Clare Press
We take the ethical sourcing and manufacturing of our products extremely seriously, and whilst we continue to ensure our factories are ethically, socially and environmentally compliant, we know there is a lot more that we can be doing. We’ve received an amazing response to our new eco-friendly packaging, and we are always looking to educate ourselves further and to see what more we can do. We love Clare Press's podcast, Wardrobe Crisis, as she sits down with buyers, sourcers and even politicians to discuss ideas on how we can have a positive impact on the future of the fashion industry.
